On March 16, 2020, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee advised the closure of Tennessee Public Schools suring the Global Covid Pandemic. What was supposed to be a three week reset turned into the cancelation of the remainder of the school year. By August of 2020, the school systems were attempting to move forward with a hybrid learning structure of virtual classes mixed with in-person classes. The Class of 2025, about to embark on their own graduation, are the first graduating class in four years to have had a high school experience that was absent the Covid Shutdown. The Class of 2025 reflects on their lost Middle School years, and the impact of this as they moved forward through high school. Interviews include MCHS and History Club alumni Abbie Perryman and Ellah Wilson, as well as several members of the MCHS Class of 2025.
